Erica’s Log Cabin Afghan

My latest finished object. About two months ago, my grown up daughter Erica made a special request – she wanted a log cabin afghan. We met at a local knitting store, selected yarns in blues, greens, and yellow for accent, and I’ve been knitting my needles into nubs ever since. Finished it Tuesday, wove in ends Wednesday, and washed and blocked today. I particularly enjoyed this project because it did not require a written pattern, which provided an unusual sense of freedom. Here’s the result.

Ready for it’s close up….

Mr. Oh saw to it that he’s the very first one to enjoy the new blanket.

  1. That is a beautiful blanket! I really like the colors you used!! I wouldn’t have thought of blue and green together like that, you’re very creative!
